JA Brasil and Google offer 500 places in a free online IT course; Registration ends on Monday (15th)

Junior Achievement (JA) Brasil, a global organization focused on entrepreneurial education for young people, offers 500 places for Tech.Já, a qualification program in Information Technology (IT), carried out in partnership with Google.org. The course is free and aimed at young people aged 18 to 29 from all over Brazil, who have completed high school in the public network or as a scholarship holder in the private network.

In its seventh edition, Tech.Already has 500 vacancies available and encourages applications from women, single mothers, black people, people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ and minority groups.
Aimed at training in IT Support, the course is 100% online and no knowledge in the area or previous experience is required. Classes take place from Monday to Friday, from 6pm to 10pm, between April 22nd and July 5th.

Certification and guidance for hiring

In addition to technical skills, the training prioritizes topics such as self-knowledge, ethics, CV preparation and preparation for interviews in job selection processes.
Students who complete the course receive a professional IT Support certificate from Google and a certification from JA Brasil and are directed to a JA Brasil partner employability platform, with access to dozens of companies.
Opportunity to study, work and increase income
From 2020 to 2023, the Tech. program has served more than 2,000 young people from 12 Brazilian states (São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Distrito Federal, Amazonas, Paraná, Ceará, Espírito Santo and Roraima).

Tech.Already benefits young people with Google.org courses

Last year, the program benefited young people like Larissa Alcântara, from Sumaré, in the interior of São Paulo, who made the transition from the telemarketing area to the IT area. “Thanks to the course, with the Google certification, I am the first certified in my family. Today I can enter an area of ​​work where I have a voice,” she says.
The program also promoted improvements in the financial situation of participants. According to data compiled by JA Brasil until March 2024, 60.9% of students reported that the Tech.Já program contributed to an increase in income and 21.8% obtained full-time employment after the course. 47.4% reported having continued their studies.
