Teenager killed in Nanterre: police custody extended

The policeman explains that he had placed himself in front of the yellow Mercedes driven by the teenager in order to stop him. Following this, Nahel wanted to flee by driving directly towards the policeman.

During his police custody, Florian M. maintains his statements given previously, emphasizing the nature of self-defense. The biker from the Directorate of Public Order and Traffic (Florian M., editor’s note) would therefore have fired because Nahel was trying to flee and threatened the life of the policeman.

A video that contradicts

This Wednesday, the authorities put Florian M. in front of a video which contradicts his statements. The video has already made the rounds on social media. We therefore see the policeman pointing his weapon at the teenager before shooting at point-blank range when the car starts. “You’re going to take a bullet in the head”, is the sentence that can be heard in the video according to the lawyers for the victim’s family. But at this stage of the investigation, we do not yet know who said this sentence.

Still according to Le Parisien, the second biker who accompanied Florian M. during the traffic check was heard this Wednesday at 4 p.m. The two police officers were confronted because of numerous contradictions in their versions of the facts. The Paris prosecutor’s office continues to use the elements that were found on the spot, in the car and continues to analyze the videos of the scene.
