Ranked Match Adjustments and Future Outlook

Version 1.12.01 will also include adjustments to the ranked matchmaking system, aiming to reduce the frequency of consecutive matches against the same player in cases where the previous match failed to connect.

While balance changes are put on hold for now, Bandai Namco remains committed to refining the competitive experience. The developers plan to release “Season 2” this spring, bringing notable balance adjustments and ranked match changes. Players can expect to learn more about the specifics of season 2, including the release date and the identity of the next DLC character, during the “TEKKEN Talk Live Season 2 Special” event in late february.

Rather than adjusting character matchups now and potentially causing confusion or disadvantage for some players, we’ve decided to prioritize fresh content for everyone to enjoy until the next season.

Archyde: Speaking of ranked matches,the update also includes adjustments to the matchmaking system. Can you briefly explain what changes players can expect?

Harada: Yes, we’re working on reducing the frequency of consecutive matches against the same player when the previous match didn’t connect properly. This should help provide a more diverse and engaging ranked experience for players.
