Many breakdowns of banking services, payment by card as online services, were reported throughout Switzerland on Saturday at midday. The disruption was short-lived, since around 2:00 p.m., the situation was back to normal.
Many outages have been reported throughout Switzerland on the site “allfaults“, PostFinance, Twint and Visa in the lead. The breakdowns concerning UBS were concentrated above all in German-speaking Switzerland.
The services of UBS and Raiffeisen as well as the credit company Visa also appeared to be disrupted. This outage blocked payment by card in shops, online payments and access to ATMs and e-banking.
On Twitter, PostFinance informed that it was experiencing “a technical malfunction”, the cause of which is unknown. Around 2:00 p.m., Postfinance announced the resolution of the problem.
