The Cerro del Teotepec, from the Nahuatl “hill of God”, is the highest mountain on record in Guerrero, as it exceeds 3,350 meters above sea level.
This well-known mountain is located on the greater edge of the Sierra Madre del Sur, hidden between the municipalities of Heliodoro Castle (Tlacotepec) and Atoyac of Alvarez.
The closest town to the hill is Puerto del Gallo, which is reached by the Atoyac highway, on the Great Coast.
