The North Bohemians returned a 1:2 defeat to their opponents from the opening match of the season and did not lose at home in the league for the fourth time in a row. The Hanás failed to win five times in a row in the top competition, they scored fully in only one of the last 10 duels.
Both teams had to do without injured goalkeepers. Domestic Grigar was replaced by winter reinforcement from Slovakia Ludha, who started in the Czech league for the first time since the beginning.
