Vienna – At a prevention summit in Vienna starting Monday, current challenges posed by Islamist extremism and terrorism – particularly as a result of the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7th – will be discussed. The development has far-reaching consequences for radicalization in Europe and Austria, said DSN boss Omar Haijawi-Pirchner at the opening. Like Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP), he once once more pushed for options for monitoring messenger services.
