Tesla employee showed the world the shortcomings of the autopilot, the company fired him

Tesla fired its employee John Bernal, who showed the work of the beta version of the autopilot on his YouTube channel.

Bernal said Tesla fired him in February following he posted a new videowhere the autopilot did not notice the plastic pole.

Company managers told him that he violated Tesla policy and that his channel was a conflict of interest.

Bernal also revealed that in March 2021, following the release of another videohis manager asked not to post negative content related to the operation of the autopilot.

After being fired, Tesla blocked Bernal’s access to the Autopilot beta. [The Verge]
