News hardware Tesla: what did the recent update to these high-tech cars really bring?

Like every year, Tesla offered its traditional end-of-year update. True UFOs in the automotive world, Tesla are much more than ordinary cars. Ultra-connected and highly technological, these cars imagined by Elon Musk are real computers on wheels. Embellished over the updates with more and more features and entertainment. True geek cars, these have more in common with a smartphone than a car. So watching Netflix, YouTube, surfing the internet or playing video games while waiting in a parking lot is a characteristic of a Tesla owner.

Under the name v11 (44.25), this update adds a lot of new features. New user interface, new games, new options, this is the update that many users have been waiting for months and the latter is coming right up to the end of the year celebrations. Note that depending on the model and the country, some options will not be offered.

Two new games and an update

Among the new games, Sonic the Hedgehog débarque. An icon from the 90s, this game will allow you to have a nostalgic moment while charging your Tesla Model 3 and Y. The relatively fast levels will easily adapt to your car’s fast charging time. Note that you will need to connect a gamepad to play it. All controllers are compatible.

If Sonic is a bit too fast for you or if you are looking for a moment of relaxation, Elon Musk’s firm offers a quieter game: Sudoku. It will complement Backgammon or Solitaire, which have already been present for some time. The Battle of Polytopia now has multiplayer support.

A new revisited interface

The change of this v11 is mainly characterized by the addition of a brand new interface. New icons, new way of using the on-board computer, this more ergonomic interface will now allow you to customize the icon bar located at the bottom of the screen and in order to concede precious seconds. Dark mode is also making its appearance.
