A few weeks ago (“Evening mag” of February 22), we discovered the Withings Body Comp scale which provides a whole series of information in addition to weight. The Body Scan, which we are testing today, is another model from the French designer. For a noticeably higher price (almost double!), it features impressive build quality and goes much, much further in terms of the data it generates. We are no longer at all here in the category of scales. Withings also speaks of it as a “connected health station”. In addition to accurately indicating the weight and body composition (fat and muscle mass) for each part of the body (trunk, arms, legs), the device draws up a cardiac assessment by recording a 6-lead electrocardiogram. What detect signs of atrial fibrillation, cardiac arrhythmia that can cause an attack.
