Accordingly, for public general hospitals, the Tet bonus ranges from 5-7 million VND/person. The bonus level at district general hospitals is lower, only 3-4 million VND/person. At district medical centers, staff support is about 2-3 million VND/person.
The highest Tet bonus among Hanoi hospitals is Hanoi Heart Hospital, an average of more than 40 million VND/person, an increase of 15% compared to last year.
However, there are also difficult hospitals like Hanoi Lung Hospital, which are not expected to have Tet bonuses.
In Ho Chi Minh City, hospitals’ Tet bonuses also fluctuate quite widely.
The highest Tet bonus belongs to Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital. Accordingly, if the Director, doctor, security guard, and nurse of Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital works for 12 months, they will be rewarded 75 million VND/person. In addition, each person also receives a 13-month salary. Although the Tet bonus is quite high, it “seems” that this hospital’s 2023 Tet bonus is still “loser” to last year.
Tet bonus in 2022, Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital will have a Tet bonus of 70 million VND for each person, 13th month salary, support money from the Government’s Resolution 03 and other amounts. Calculating the total amount, medical staff receive the highest bonus of more than 100 million VND.
Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC) also has a high Tet bonus. This year, Cho Ray Hospital gives Tet bonuses to employees who work for a full 12 months, regardless of position, with the lowest level being about 60 million VND. This bonus is 2.5 times higher than last year, and the highest ever. Depending on their position, long-time employees at Cho Ray Hospital can receive more than 100 million VND.
Among central hospitals, Cho Ray Hospital also has the “best” Tet bonus.

Ho Chi Minh City Heart Institute continues to maintain a stable bonus for many years for medical staff: 10 million VND/person on New Year’s Day; Expected bonus of 13th month salary and 35 million VND/person for Lunar New Year.

Accordingly, the hospital board met to decide on this year’s Tet bonus policy, the number ranges from over 20 million to 30 million VND/person.
Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital announced a 2024 Tet bonus of 12 million VND/person, after a long period of financial difficulties. During Tet 2023, medical staff will receive an additional income support of 8 million VND, deducted from the hospital’s welfare fund.
Besides the hospitals with quite positive Tet bonuses, some other medical facilities still have many difficulties in managing to get bonuses for their employees.
Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that there are 6 public hospitals in the city with modest Tet bonuses of only a few hundred thousand to less than 5 million VND, including Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital and Nhan Ai Hospital. , District 8 Hospital, Trung Vuong Hospital, District 6 Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Medical Examination Center, Binh Chanh District Hospital, Cu Chi District Hospital, Cu Chi Regional General Hospital.
