AUSTIN – Liquor stores will be closed Saturday night through Tuesday morning, according to state law. The Texas Liquor Control Act requires that liquor stores not be open on Sundays and major holidays such as Christmas and New Year’s Day. Since the beginning of the new year falls on a Monday, the shops will be closed for 61 hours if they close at 9 p.m.
