Thai Airways lacks both passengers and shuttle buses, causing passengers to wait on the plane for 2 hours.

Suvarnabhumi Airport clarify the reasons for passengers having to wait on a Thai Smile flight for 2 hours due to the lack of drivers and shuttle buses by Thai Airways, having to find an additional van causing delays in picking up passengers from the plane ordered to expedite correction

From the case that Suvarnabhumi Airport (NTP) has received complaints from passengers of Thai Smile Airways. That has to spend 2 hours on the plane to wait for the shuttle bus to pick up passengers from the plane to the passenger terminal. The incident occurred on 2 Jan.

Today (3 Jan. 2023) Suvarnabhumi Airport clarified the case After investigating the cause, it was found that Both THAI Smile flights are flight WE137 arriving from Chiang Rai at 10:25 p.m. and flight WE047 arriving from Khon Kaen arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 10:40 p.m. Long-distance pit stops for both flights, where the airline arranges a shuttle bus to pick up passengers from the plane to the late passenger terminal. The reason is that the ground service provider for THAI Smile Airways, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, lacks labor to drive shuttle buses to pick up and drop off a large number of passengers and the number of shuttle buses is insufficient for service. Public Company Limited has provided vans to enhance the service. Therefore, it takes quite a long time to pick up passengers from the plane to the passenger terminal. Suvarnabhumi Airport has instructed Thai Airways International Public Company Limited to provide sufficient personnel and vehicles to serve passengers. To prevent this from happening again in the future.
