Manjeri കോ Coach Bino George arrived at St. Joseph’s Church, Manjeri with Santhosh Trophy to thank God for blessing Kerala Cup. On Tuesday morning he arrived with prayers to announce the joy of having achieved the goal by the grace of God.
Father Tommy Kalathoor said that from the time he arrived in Manjeri for the tournament, he would come to pray at the church.
Prior to that, Father said, the players’ jerseys were brought to the church and sold. Believers became acquainted with Bino when he came to attend Mass on most days without games. I have known Bino well since he started coming to church. Due to that experience and interest in football, he used to go to Kerala every day to watch the game.
On the day of the semi-final, prayers were offered for the Kerala team at the church. Bino had also arrived at the church. The support and prayers of the spectators energized the players. When the blessings of God increased beyond the efforts of the players, it paved the way for victory. Bino said he would come to church with the trophy if he cheated. He came to the church to thank God and to keep his word.
