It’s nothing unusual for election campaigns to be fought with hard balls. The way the ÖVP on X (formerly Twitter) is currently trying with all sorts of subjects to despise the liberal frontman Herbert Kickl is more of a problem. What is particularly annoying, even embarrassing, is the obliviousness to history that the Chancellor’s party around Karl Nehammer is displaying. She’s trying to fool the general public.
