The 1st Safar 1444 of the hegira will correspond to Monday August 29, 2022, announced, Saturday evening, the ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
In a press release, the ministry indicates that it observed the lunar crescent of the month of Safar this Saturday, 29 Moharram 1444 of the Hegira, corresponding to August 27, 2022, after sunset, specifying that “all the delegates of the ministry in the Kingdom and the Units of the Royal Armed Forces associated with the observation have confirmed the non-observation of the lunar crescent”. As a result, the month of Moharram will have counted 30 days and the 1st Safar will correspond to Monday August 29, 2022, according to the same source.
