The 2008 sharpens the claws and strengthens the drive

In addition to design details, the French are also strengthening the electric drive and expanding the range of engines to include a hybrid.

The compact SUV inherits the front three-claw light signature from the 508. The light strips are integrated into the glossy black air intakes of the bumper. The 3-claw theme can be found at the rear, all lights are now LEDs.

Peugeot mixed up new colors for the 2008: Selenium Gray and Okenit White. The latter shows bluish-grey reflections. The GT version features a black diamond roof.

The digital instrument cluster above the steering wheel stretches 10 inches and has a new design. The color of the display as well as the order and arrangement of the information can be set individually.

Bigger touch screen

The central touchscreen has grown from 7 to 10 inches, and the latest version of the infotainment system is stored in the Allure and GT equipment variants.

The shifter of the 6-speed automatic is new, the controls have been improved. As well as the sand, mud and snow driving modes have been retuned.

The new electric motor now has an output of 115 kW (156 hp). With the now 54 kWh battery, the e-2008 manages up to 406 kilometers. Also on offer: two petrol engines (100 and 130 hp) and a 130 hp diesel. A 136 hp hybrid engine will follow in 2024.
