The perpetrator threw away the sack. “He was dispassionate, he didn’t want to run away. He stood there looking at her,” said the woman, who estimated he wanted to attack her again.”
Another one eyewitness he describes what he saw unfold before him. “Stab the girl in the back. Then he went to the middle of the road. Put the knife down. He had one rucksack and he was waiting for them to come and get him,” he said, adding that he didn’t say anything.

“I don’t know what you’re telling me that her life is not in danger. They told me that my girl is bleeding profusely and it hasn’t stopped yet,” said the father of the maritime studies student to Nikos Evagelatos.
