Athens – Because of the current record temperatures in Greece, the Ministry of Culture in Athens ordered closing times for the Acropolis, Greece’s ancient landmark, on Friday. “To protect workers and tourists at the archaeological site,” the Acropolis will remain closed on Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Culture Minister Lina Mendoni said in a television interview. “It is very likely that we will take a similar approach on Saturday.”
