The alliance of the current – Arslan – Wahab sees the light

The “Mountain List” came to light, after the “gardeners knot” was overcame, with the Free Patriotic Movement accepting the participation of former Minister Naji Al-Bustani, at the insistence of MP Talal Arslan and former Minister Wiam Hab.

Today, the list, consisting of an alliance between the three, held a meeting in Darat Arslan in Khaldeh. The list in which the three allies will run in the elections in the Chouf-Aley district includes the following names:

in Aley:
Talal Arslan for the Druze seat.
Cesar Abi Khalil for the Maronite seat.
Antoine Boustany for the second Maronite seat.
Tariq Khairallah for the Orthodox seat.

In Chouf:
Wiam Wahhab for the Druze seat.
Farid al-Bustani for the Maronite seat.
Naji Al-Bustani for the second Maronite seat.
Antoine Abboud for the third Maronite seat.
Ahmed Najm Al-Din for the Sunni seat.
Osama Al-Mawash for the second Sunni seat.
Ghassan Atallah for the Catholic seat.

The refusal of the Free Patriotic Movement and MP Farid Al-Bustani to participate in the list of former minister Naji Al-Bustani threatened to over-alliance with Wahhab and Arslan, as a result of their insistence on that. Wahhab and Arslan estimate that Naji al-Bustani’s participation in the list will raise its score, which enhances Wahhab’s chances of winning a Druze seat from the Progressive Socialist Party.
