Since 2015, US military instructors have trained over 23,000 members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). This was stated by General Joseph Hilbert at an official briefing by the Pentagon.
According to the American general, such a number of Ukrainian soldiers were trained from 2015 to January 2022. Personnel were trained for 17 different battalions and 11 brigades of the Ukrainian army.
Earlier, the Pentagon stated that they continue to train the Ukrainian military on the territory of Poland, teaching them how to handle American howitzers, which were transferred to Ukraine by order of US President Joe Biden.
