After the iPhone, it is the Apple Watch that will be deprived of leather accessories. According to a rumor by Mark Gurman, Apple will stop selling leather straps.
Clearly, Apple is embarking on a profound reform in its accessories policy. Objective of zero carbon emissions by 2030 for Apple, and this will obviously go through a cessation of the marketing of various leather accessories. The genuine leather shells will be replaced by imitation leather, and we would obviously be moving towards the same policy with regard to Apple Watch bracelets.
According to Mark Gurman, Apple will draw a line under leather straps for its connected watch. For the moment, the Apple markets two types of leather bracelets, one with links priced at 99€, as well as a buckle bracelet sold at 149€.
The situation is somewhat similar with the 5 Hermès bracelets, since Apple would end its partnership with the French luxury brand. Apple employees would even be offered discounts of up to 90% on the various luxury bracelets.
For the moment, we do not yet know if the headed brand intends to replace these bracelets with imitation leather. Nevertheless, this is a page that turns in the ecosystem of Apple accessories.
