“During this surgical time, anterior and posterior cruciate ligament plastic surgery will be performed, by the Medical Department of our institution,” Argentinos Juniors clarified.
Sánchez, a native of Guaymallén, had undergone surgery for the first time last August, following a “traumatic dislocation” in his knee.
On the first occasion, the player underwent “a ligament reconstruction as well as a repair of the peroneal nerve” by the doctors who make up the club’s medical department.
The former Independiente player Rivadavia Mendoza was unintentionally injured in a clash with the Brazilian defender, Marcelo, in a round of 16 match of the current edition of Libertadores.
