The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As a result of the security measures taken by army units in various Lebanese regions during the month of November, 349 people of different nationalities were arrested for their involvement in multiple crimes and misdemeanours, including drug trafficking, theft and smuggling, possession of weapons and contraband, and roaming within Lebanese territory without residency. and driving cars and motorcycles without legal papers.The seizures included 95 military weapons of various types, quantities of light and medium ammunition, a number of vehicles and motorcycles, in addition to a quantity of drugs and various materials intended for smuggling, and a number of communication devices.
The detainees, along with the seized items, were handed over to the competent authorities for the necessary action.
