The assistant coach is now the new boss

Why wander far when the good is so close? That’s probably what two national league clubs thought when they appointed their new coaches: both St. Marienkirchen/Wallern 1b and St. Florian have found successors in their own clubs.

After the separation from Werner Topf, Josef Iglseder took over the Landesliga West club St. Marienkirchen/Wallern 1b. He is currently still active as an assistant coach under Horst Haidacher at the cooperation club and Upper Austrian division Wallern. “Josef has proven in the past that he is a good and ambitious coach. It’s also ideal that he knows the structures of the game community very well,” says St. Marienkirchen chairman Christian Ortner. Iglseder recently took over responsibility on an interim basis – but in the 0:4 in Pettenbach there was no point in his second game either. “The club and the gaming community in general have great potential. It will be a great challenge,” says Iglseder.

Wolm takes over St. Florian

Michael Wolm has also been promoted from assistant to head coach in St. Florian. After Wilhelm Wahlmüller resigned from his position as a coach in the summer – and re-signed to the Upper Austrian division ASK St. Valentin – Wolm got the opportunity to prove himself in the front row. “Since I’ve known most of the squad for a long time, I didn’t have to think about it. We want to develop further with a young team and attack fully next season,” explains Wolm. At the weekend, under Noch-Coach Wahlmüller, there was a 1:5 defeat against Oedt 1b.
