The Association of Members of the Legion of Honor “provided assistance to the social fund in the “Hotel Dieu” hospital

The Association of Members of the Legion of Honor in Lebanon, Légion d’Honneur, continued distributing financial aid to a number of humanitarian and health institutions in Lebanon. In this context, the President of the Society, Ambassador Khalil Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Hotel Dieu” Hospital, Professor Salim Daccache, handed over assistance to support the hospital’s social fund, which deals with patients who have no support. The handover of assistance was attended by the Vice President of the Association, former Minister Maurice Sehnaoui, the representative of the Association to the government, Representative Marawan Hamadeh, the Secretary General Rafik Shalala, the treasurer Dr. .
Ambassador Karam spoke, noting the humanitarian role played by the Social Fund in Hotel Dieu, pointing out that this assistance “constitutes symbolic support for the hospital, which is carrying out great health and humanitarian work, especially after the Corona pandemic and the suffocating economic crisis.” He said, “We are trying to help the institutions that help our suffering people.” Father Daccache responded by thanking the Association of Legion of Honor members for the annual support it provides to help the patients in the hospital. “This is evidence of their love for the Hotel Dieu and the St. A significant number of patients to help them, especially in these difficult circumstances, and this kind initiative reflects a human partnership in building the country and helping the needy in a spirit of solidarity and love.
