The American newspaper, “The Athletic”, revealed that the club Ajax Amsterdam The Dutchman rejected an offer from Manchester United to buy one of his players in the summer transfer market.
Manchester United started the worst start in its history in the Premier League, to decide to move to conclude new deals, as it was defeated in the first two matches in the Premier League and suffered a four-way defeat from Brentford and two goals to one from Brighton.

The newspaper said that Manchester United sent an offer of 80 million euros to Ajax in order to obtain Anthony’s signature, but the offer was rejected by the Ajax administration.

The newspaper added that the Ajax player is a strong target for the United management in order to strengthen the team’s offensive line, but the Dutch club insists not to give up its services this summer.

It is not known whether Manchester United intends to make a bigger offer for Ajax, or will turn its attention to a new attacking wing, 12 days before the end of the summer transfer market.
