BECANCOUR. The Bécancour landscaping competition is in full swing! was back this summer for a 4th edition. This competition aims to highlight the efforts of citizens to beautify their living environment.
Thus, the horticultural team has crisscrossed the streets of six sectors of the City over the last few months in order to find the most beautiful façade designs, both residential and commercial.
Remember that the selection criteria were the choice of plants, the balance of the layout, the cleanliness of the land, as well as the combined presence of trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals.
One winner per category (residential and commercial) per sector was named, with the exception of the more populous sector of Saint-Grégoire, where two residences and two businesses were selected.
The 14 winners of the competition will receive a sign that they can install in front of their house or business, identifying them as the big winners of this competition. In addition, the winners in the Residential category will receive a basket of local Bécancourois products.
