Mukesh said that the bed sheet he was wearing in front of Kanaka fell off during the shoot and later when Ram Gum shot again, he acted with tension.
Mukesh narrates the incident –
‘The scene was to be shot when Malu arrives at the hostel to meet Ramabhadra. In the hostel, Mainkutty (Jagadish)’s body is oiled all over. My character is sleeping on the couch. When Mainkutty heard that Malu was coming, he jumped up and looked for Ramabhadran, but he could not find him. So the bedsheet is worn. When Malu came, he was talking to her wearing the same bedsheet. As everyone was so immersed in the acting and saying dialogues, I raised my hand as part of the acting and accidentally dropped my bedsheet. Everyone on the set, including me, was silent for a moment. The first thing I look at is Kanaka. Kanaka had also seen this scene. But they pretended not to see. Suddenly I picked up the mundu and said let it continue as if nothing had happened. Jagadeesh, who was immediately nearby, gave me a shake hand and said congratulations, I have lost.
I asked, ‘Why?’, Jagadeesh then said to Kanaka ‘We had made a bet in the morning that Mukesh would be standing in front of Kanaka without a dress. But I never expected to do so, and I confess to you with tremendous courage.
