Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Anna Meta Christensen revealed that not taking aspirin prevents heart attack, stroke or death, and works to promote better health and a longer life.
She recommended that all patients who had a heart attack adhere to aspirin as directed until randomized trials prove otherwise and clinical guidelines change.
Dr. Christensen’s research consisted of data collected from Danish health registries nationwide.
The research participants had their first heart attack between 2004 and 2017 and were treated with a coronary artery stent.
All patients included in the data were prescribed aspirin during the first year following the heart attack.
