Sports Mixco qualified for the final of Clausura 2024 by beating Antigua GFC (4-2) on penalties and euphoria invaded the Pensativo stadium field, before a colonial fan who saw another dream frustrated.

Mixco worked until the last minute to stay alive in the semifinal, after Antigua GFC tied the series with José Gálvez’s goal in the 54th minute.
Those led by Fabricio Benítez never stopped believing and again and again avoided the colonials’ second goal, thanks to the performance of experienced goalkeeper Kevin Moscoso, who was a figure during the 90 minutes, overtime and in the penalty shootout.
Yonathan Pozuelos was in charge of scoring the penalty that gave Mixco the classification. After beating goalkeeper Braulio Linares, the party, the euphoria, the screams, the hugs of a team that for the first time in its history will have the opportunity to fight for the title in national soccer came.
