The least we can say is that Renaud Lavoie really wasn’t impressed by Aleksander Barkov’s play during the playoffs.
During his column with Jean-Charles Lajoie on Tuesday, the journalist from the TVA Sports channel gave his way of thinking about the captain of the Florida Panthers.
“During this time, where was Barkov? Everyone tells us that this is the next Patrice Bergeron. Are you sick? It’s not even close! Barkov, in the regular season, when the game is calm, he is great to watch. Barkov, when the playoffs start, he is not capable. He is not able to take his game to another level and be the player who will drag his team. The biggest disappointment of all the series is Barkov. He did absolutely nothing!”
