Former “The Biggest Loser Teens” contestant Ayca Knüttel has succumbed to cancer. She was only 24 years old.
2014 took Ayca Knüttel took part in the Sat.1 weight loss show “The Biggest Loser Teens” and declared war on her overweight. She was the youngest participant in her group and quickly won the hearts of the audience with her ambition.
Five years after her television debut, however, she faced a new challenge: the young woman was diagnosed with leukemia, and she documented her ordeal on Instagram to the end. Now she has lost the fight against the disease.
“I still can’t believe it, even though the news over the last few months has not boded well. Ayca has lost her difficult battle with leukemia,” writes “The Biggest Loser” presenter Dr. Christine Theiss, 43, in a farewell post on Instagram.
Also the official Instagram account the weight loss show is reminiscent of the former candidate. “Rest in peace, Ayca!” It says about the photo of the deceased.
Ayca is survived by her husband Michael, whom she married in December 2020.
