The staff of the Criminal Illicit Investigation Section, assigned to the Municipal Command of the National Police in the Municipality of Lubango, Huíla Province, arrested, last Saturday, 24th, in the Nambambi neighbourhood, two citizens, considered, as being the biggest robbers of motorcycles, in the southern region, and seized a red TVS Star motorcycle with no license plate.
The arrest, according to a note that news had access to, was possible due to police intelligence work that has been carried out around the fight against violent crime, with emphasis on the theft of motorcycles in the city of Lubango.
Those involved, the note reads, “reported that they had been practicing these acts for a long time, even confessing to two robberies that took place in the Mapunda neighborhood, which resulted in the death of the victim, and another in the Comercial Urbano neighborhood, all of which occurred in December. .
In interrogation, the alleged robbers assumed that they select victims at random, provided they have a new motorcycle, and that, pretending to be passengers, they later carry out the robbery.
They also confessed, concludes the note from the Criminal Illicit Investigation Section, assigned to the Municipal Command of the National Police, in Lubango, that the perpetrators, when they arrive in a place, attack the victim with iron, and the motorcycles are sold in the commune of Hoque Lubango.
