While the finale of “The Blacklist” will be broadcast tonight in the United States on NBC, the writers of the series worn by James Spader have decided to break one of the golden rules.
This Thursday, July 13 will be broadcast in the United States the last episode of Blacklist. After 10 years on the air, the series carried by James Spader is about to bow out during a two-part episode that promises to be epic. And according to information from Entertainment Weekly, this finale should hold many surprises for fans of the first hour.
Since the launch of Blacklist in November 2013, New York City has always been one of the central characters of the series, along with Red, Liz and Harold Cooper. But to celebrate this last episode as it should be, the writers have decided for the first time to change the scenery and transport the characters to a new environment.
The film crews of Blacklist have indeed put down their suitcases in Spain, thus marking a first in the history of the series, since it is the first time that the shots of an episode are not carried out in New York.
This will probably not be the only surprise that Blacklist has in store for us for its final episode. The writers will surely want to end 10 seasons of intrigue in style. These last two hours will also see the task force try to anticipate Red’s next actions under increased pressure from MP Arthur Hudson (Toby Leonard Moore), who absolutely wants to get his hands on the criminal.
One of the series’ last big mysteries cleared up
Last week, the episode of Blacklist had lifted the veil on the identity of Edward, one of Red’s faithful acolytes, of whom we had heard a lot about, but whose face was still unknown to us. For over 200 episodes, Edward remained in the cockpit of the plane, with all of his lines spoken over the intercom or off camera.
Episode 20 of season 10 has therefore made it possible to lift the veil on this mystery since Andrew McCarthy made a surprise cameo and slipped into the skin of this famous Edward. The opportunity for the actor and James Spader to meet almost 37 years after having given the reply in Pretty in Pink.
The final double episode of season 10 of Blacklist will be broadcast this Thursday, July 13 on NBC. The French public will however have to be patient before discovering this final season, since Série Club and TF1, which offer the detective series in the first and second broadcast window, have not yet announced a date for the season 9. As for the first 8 seasons, they are already available on Netflix.
