A “new surprise like Bolloré”, as the Bank of America analyst says in a note. While investors expected the Bolloré family to take advantage of the relative undervaluation of Vivendi to take full control of it via the Bolloré group, Vivendi will ultimately be split into three entities and its name will perhaps disappear.

The goal: to highlight the value of each of the group’s businesses on the stock market – a bet won for the moment since Vivendi shares gained 8% the day following the announcement of the “split” on Wednesday evening – and to give more freedom for each of the assets to develop.
