Lifune Primary School gains new structure – news

The Community with Sustainable Consciousness project, which aims to train 2,388 people in the Commune of Quicabo, municipality of Dande, province of Bengo, will reach a new phase, with the construction of a school. Under the watchful eye of the community, last Saturday, December 9th, the administrator of the municipality of Dande, Domingos Lourenço, together with the permanent secretary of the Angolan National Commission for UNESCO, Alexandre Costa, laid the first stone.

The new structure of the Primary School will be built in the Lifune community, as part of the Community with Sustainable Consciousness project. The school will accommodate a total of 423 children over two periods. The project’s return to the community also aimed to train 2,388 people, including children and adults, in environmental issues and healthy eating, chess techniques, preventive health on menstrual hygiene, malaria and first aid.

On the launch day, the youngest children were exposed to cartoons related to personal and collective hygiene; medical and medication assistance was provided; and medical consultations in the specialties of general medicine and pediatrics.

The Community with Sustainable Consciousness project is coordinated by the Angolan National Commission for UNESCO, with support from social partners such as Sonangol, Refriango, NCR, Club do Médicos, Nação Verde, Brilho Sapiens, Esprojec, Angobiotec, Laboratório de Química Verde, Clínica UAYELE, More in Common, Women in Action Platform (PMA), Art and Culture Foundation, International Circuit of Arts and Culture for All.
