The bomb threats at the Israeli and US embassies were false

A strong security operation was mounted in downtown Buenos Aires on the morning of this Wednesday, October 18, following a bomb threat at the headquarters of the Israeli Embassy in Argentina. The Federal police investigated the building located on Avenida de Mayo, where all staff were evacuated. They also worked at the United States Embassy due to another threat. At noon it was confirmed that they did not find any explosives.

The operation was carried out at the headquarters located at 700 Avenida de Mayo, in downtown Buenos Aires. As it was learned, the head of Security of the diplomatic delegation immediately contacted the Neighborhood Police Station 1C of the City Police, to alert them about the threat.

The warnings came amid rising tensions over the conflict in the Middle East.
