The Burrow Pub: Where Bruce Springsteen Surprised Lucky Customers with an Impromptu Sing-Along

Imagine: you are quietly enjoying a beer and the Boss Bruce Springsteen himself shows up, orders a drink and sings one of his classics with you.

This is what happened to the lucky customers of this Irish pub. Bruce Springsteen stopped there for a drink last week (Thursday May 4) before his shows at the RDS Arena in Dublin on May 5, 7 and 9.

Before this trio of concerts, the Boss saw that famous Irish hospitality was no legend when he visited The Burrow pub in Rathangan, County Kildare – a town his ancestors hail from. After ordering his drink, he launched into an impromptu sing-along of his classic “My Hometown” (released in 1984).

“Guys, I’m firing the E Street Band and hiring you,” he told the pub patrons, laughing.
