The dynamics of falling sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCV) in February remained at the level of the beginning of the year – the market decreased by 62% in annual terms. Compared to January, sales increased by almost 10,000 cars due to seasonality. More than half of the sales in February accounted for Lada, but brands from China, against the background of the lack of official deliveries from other countries, occupy most of the top 10 market.

Sales of passenger cars and LCVs in the Russian Federation in February fell by 62.1%, to almost 41.9 thousand units, follows from the data of the Association of European Businesses (AEB) (.pdf). The AEB forecast for 2023 assumes an increase in sales of new cars by 12%, to 0.77 million cars.
