The CFCIM organizes in Lyon the 4th edition of the Morocco-France Economic Days dedicated to health

The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Morocco (CFCIM) is organising, from 20 to 22 September in Lyon, the 4th stage of the Morocco-France Economic Days.

This edition, which will know the presence of the Ambassador of Morocco in France, Mohamed Benchaâboun, is organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in France, the Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Bpifrance, and will be dedicated to the health and biotechnology sector, indicates the CFCIM in a press release.

After Paris, Essaouira and Toulouse, the 4th edition of the Morocco-France Economic Days will be held at the Hôtel de Région in Lyon and will focus on the theme “The health and biotechnology industry”, adds the same source.

This meeting is organized by the CFCIM in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in France, the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and Bpifrance.

Launched on October 8, 2021 in Paris, the Morocco-France Economic Days aim to highlight the potential for regional co-investment as well as the key sectors of cooperation between Morocco and France in a context where the Kingdom confirms its position as a hub strategic African. This cycle of meetings thus consists of crisscrossing the different regions of France and Morocco with a view to supporting companies in their international development and encouraging synergies between economic operators.

“At the end of these round tables and exchanges, there will be, as usual, B TO B meetings that will take place so that we really get into the concrete… What interests us is to build this relationship economic relationship between France and Morocco and to ensure that they grow continuously. This is our ambition, this is our pride. », affirmed Jean-Charles Dambolin, Managing Director of the CFCIM.

Health and biotechnologies: strong growth potential

In line with the royal project to generalize social protection, the Moroccan health system has begun its transformation through several structuring projects. Among the main players in this strategic sector is the pharmaceutical industry, which generates high added value through innovation and investment in research and development.

The healthcare industry is also a key sector in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region (AURA). Its rich and diversified ecosystem brings together 251 companies and 4 University Hospitals. The region is also a major hub for research and education: it ranks 2nd after Île-de-France for patent filings and offers 790 training courses in healthcare industry professions.

High-level interventions and tailor-made B to B meetings On the program of the Lyon Economic Day, round tables led by health experts around various themes such as investment opportunities, innovation, e -health, training or financing.

Many institutional and private partners will welcome participants in a dedicated space: AMDIE, MEDEF, Club Santé Maroc, Bpifrance, Aba Technology, Laprophan, Sanofi, as well as 6 Moroccan Regional Investment Centers. In addition to networking meetings, participating companies will benefit from a tailor-made B to B meeting program, as well as several site visits (COVALAB, bioMérieux, etc.) with the possibility of directly managing appointments on the MyCFCIM application before, during and even after the event.

“The Morocco-France Economic Day in Lyon will allow economic operators from both countries to work on new partnership, import-export, co-investment, commercial exchanges and even establishment projects around the ecosystem of health.

This key sector of cooperation between the two countries indeed offers strong growth potential,” said Jean-Charles Damblin, the press release reports.

A century-old institution, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Morocco (CFCIM) aims to promote economic relations between France and Morocco, to encourage the establishment of French companies in the Kingdom and to develop the potential for business of Moroccan companies.

Strong, in particular, of nearly 4,000 member companies, the CFCIM is the largest of the 124 French Chambers of Commerce and Industry abroad (CCIFI). It is the only CCIFI to have a Training Campus (bringing together the Casablanca Business School and CEFOR Entreprises, its continuing education center) to support the development of human capital in companies. It also offers innovative rental formulas within its 4 industrial parks: Bouskoura, Ouled Saleh, Settat and the Ecoparc de Berrechid.
