News continues to arrive in the beta of WhatsApp for Android and this time we will welcome you to the Channels, a space to present any type of information to your channel’s followers.
We have already seen this function in applications such as Telegram with great success and for this reason those of Meta want to replicate it in WhatsApp so that we have a really useful tool soon.
In addition, these channels will not reveal your identity, much less your phone number and profile picture, so it will become a totally private space. For now, the number of followers of a channel is said to be unlimited.
Where will we see the WhatsApp channels?
As reported by WABetaInfo, the “States” tab will undergo a small change and will share the space with the channels that you subscribe to, as shown in the following screenshot:
We do not know for now when the Channels will reach the public version of WhatsApp. For now, they are only known to be available in the beta for Android, specifically version 2.23.10.14.
