Developed by young indie studio Brass Token, The Chant is billed as a single-player third-person horror action-adventure game set on a remote spiritual island. “To survive, you must create, fight, and escape the psychedelic horrors unleashed when a ritual goes awry and awakens a dimension of cosmic terror. »
This first trailer shows us that the game seems to draw here and there in various inspirations. Some will see some similarities with the game The Medium, others with the excellent film Midsommar. In The Chant, Jess Briars takes part in a spiritual retreat in the middle of a remote island. She must then do everything to try to survive against prismatic creatures, released after a ritual chant went wrong, by opening a portal to a nightmarish dimension called “The Darkness”. This dimension, which feeds on negative energy, drives everyone crazy by preying on everyone’s fears and worries, but also by manifesting through inter-dimensional creatures.
