The classification match moved to Annaba

The African Nations Championship (CHAN 2022) classification match should no longer take place at the Olympic Stadium in Oran as planned. The meeting will rather be disputed in Annaba for a very particular reason.

According to the latest news, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has agreed to move the classification match for 3rd place to Annaba. The enthusiasm of the public at the stadium on May 19, 1956 would have motivated this choice.

“In view of the fervor shown by the public at the 19-May 1956 stadium in Annaba since the start of CHAN and its presence in force at the matches despite the bad weather, the local Organizing Committee has introduced, to the CAF, a request to transfer the classification match for 3rd place from Oran to Annaba, which was immediately accepted » we learn regarding the match scheduled for February 3.

The meeting will obviously oppose the two selections which will lose the semi-finals of the competition.
