Big chaos this Friday, April 19 on the roads of Île-de-France, on the eve of the last weekend of the Easter holidays for zone C. The A13 motorway, which connects the capital to Rouen and Caen, will be closed in both directions of traffic between Paris and Vaucresson until Monday April 22 inclusive, indicate the Regional and Interdepartmental Directorate for the Environment, Planning and Transport and the Ile-de-France Roads Directorate (Dirif ). The closure of the section caused saturation of the part of the A13 upstream of Vaucresson, towards Paris, to the point that access from the N186 also had to be closed.

“This situation is the result of a movement on the ground, the causes of which are currently being diagnosed. It also caused cracks in a sewerage structure located 4 meters deep under the motorway., analyze the authorities. And specify: “during the night of April 18 to 19 and on the occasion of a scheduled closure of the motorway for works, a transverse crack in the A13 in the Saint-Cloud sector was observed”which “runs along the end of the insertion ramp and crosses the A13 towards Saint-Cloud park, with a depth of 50 to 80 centimeters depending on the location”.

Monitoring of the crack is ongoing and “will continue until Monday April 22 to allow a first progress update. Depending on the results of this monitoring, a reopening might be considered during next week., adds the press release. New information should be communicated next Monday evening.
