The price of gold fell today, Friday, in Egypt, by 6 pounds per gram, compared to yesterday’s prices.
Gold prices continue to decline in the local market, with yellow crude prices declining globally, with the rise of the dollar and the approaching of raising US interest rates.
Yesterday, gold lost 15 pounds during trading, affected by the decline in the price of crude globally, to lose more than 20 pounds in two days.

14 karat gold prices fell to 521 pounds per gram.
And the price of 18 karat gold fell to 672 pounds per gram.
And the price of 21 karat gold fell to 785 pounds per gram.
And the price of 24 carat gold fell to 898 pounds per gram.

The global price of gold fell during trading today, Friday, to its lowest level in 6 weeks, affected by the rise of the dollar, and the price of crude reached 1781 dollars an ounce, according to Archyde.com.
The dollar consolidated its gains today, heading towards the largest weekly increase in 7 months, as the gains of the US currency against other major currencies are supported by expectations of raising interest rates.
With money markets in mind, an expected interest rate hike of 30 basis points in March and combined increases of more than 120 basis points before the end of the year.
