Al-Marsad Newspaper: Saudi fashion designer, Yahya Al-Bishri, commented on women replacing black abayas with colored ones, stressing, “The black color is ugly and dark.”
Al-Bishri said, during his stay as a guest on the “Eighth” program, that optics are important, because beauty is always seen with our eyes, and this dark black color is ugly.
He added, “This color is as if I was forced to wear it,” pointing out that if a woman wears a cloak or not, she is free, and this thing does not diminish or increase her value, but rather her value in her knowledge, morals and literature.
