The consumer confidence index rose 9.1%

The consumer confidence index rose 9.1% during the month of June, according to a study by the Finance Research Center of Torcuato Di Tella University.

Thus the index stood at 41.79%, the highest figure since February 2020, a month before the coronavirus pandemic.

In the interannual comparison, this indicator reveals a positive variation of 6.89%, the report specifies.

One of the most outstanding data is that the increase is greater in households with higher incomes than in those with lower incomes (12.50% versus 1.4% year-on-year).

In addition, all the subindices reflected positive variations. Regarding durable goods and real estate it was 18.69% monthly, while in personal situation it was 7.36%, and in macroeconomic situation it was 5.21%.

Regions

Regarding regional terms, the index rose 5.64% in the interior, 9.67% in CABA and 10.9% in GBA.

Meanwhile, the component of present conditions at the national level rose 13.07% and the component of expectations 6.85%, always compared to the month of May.
