The annoying detail is the glasses of alcohol. Two open bottles of Leffe, an almost empty glass of beer and a glass of red wine, a pipe, a packet of tobacco and a lighter sit next to cups of coffee, a switched off computer and a closed folder.
“Small work meeting in Jodoigne”, indicates the photo of the Secretary of State for Digitalization. However, this is not the reading that several Internet users on Twitter had, who were quick to shoot down the selfie, accusing the Secretary of State of “drinking”, of “promoting alcoholism early in the morning” , or even encourage the consumption of “alcohol and tobacco at work”.
Contacted, Mathieu Michel was surprised by the comments addressed to him. “The photo was taken on Saturday at aperitif time. Does this shock you?” And to specify that he went padel this Sunday morning, at the time the photo was posted.
It was his spokesperson who caused the blunder. He told our colleagues at Sudinfo that it was a mistake. “I didn’t think I was doing badly, I just wanted to show that we are working on the lists in Jodoigne, nothing more.
