The corpse of a young rapper was exhibited at his funeral

The body of the deceased Markelle Morrow, better known as Goonew, was exhibited during his funeral in a nightclub in Washington, United States.

The 24-year-old rapper was killed by a mugger in District Heights, Maryland, on March 18. Despite the efforts of health personnel to save his life, he did not survive.

This weekend his funeral was held, registering a strange situation. Goonew’s body was placed on a stage, while a party was around, with people who had paid to attend.

The deceased was standing, wearing a hood, sunglasses and a crown, surrounded by people dancing and drinking.

As stated by the New York Post, the fact viralized in social networks, caused a controversy between those close to the deceased and the administrators of Blissthe place where the funeral was held.

“A local funeral home contacted Bliss to lease our venue for Goonew’s homecoming celebration… Bliss never found out what would happen. We sincerely apologize to all those who may be upset or offended, ”said the administrators of the premises.

Those attending the event had to pay a ticket of $40 dollars, plus A $25,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the shooting suspect.
